Helping John
John is an 87 year old Korean War vet. He has a large piece of property with 3 homes on it for himself, his daughter Leanne, and grand daughter Crystal live. He’s not able to do all the upkeep as he has been used to doing.
Our team went to help. Leanne met us with supplies of gloves, eye protection, and bright yellow shirts for visibility as the work bordering the road was done.
John went along with the crew working on cleaning the garbage out of the ditch, then weed wacking the long stretch, as a protector from the traffic. He and the team enjoyed that time together.
Others were weed wacking some hard to reach areas around a building and a hill. That all done, they moved a swing set and sand box (with sand in it) to a safer location.
As were were in the shade of the porch and having a cold drink, Crystal told us about their miracle baby. Throughout the telling, she gave glory to God for how He cared for her, and this unborn baby. Things didn’t go as she expected with the pregnancy, but she came to trust that God knows what is best as she looked back.
